EASTHAM

Description: I was driving home a few evenings ago around 10pm (wide awake and sober) along Naust Road in North Eastham. There were no other cars in view, and this particular stretch of road is about 200 yards and very straight. The local high school is quite close by, slightly to the n/e of my location.
As I drove, I noticed a large, white, VERY bright, stationary light over the high school area, which would be about my 1:00 position. There are parking lot lights there, but they are quite low and always yellow-ish. This light was about 25' above the tree line, about 250 yards away when I first noticed it, and did not project in any particular direction, as a common searchlight usually does. I also couldn't make out any shape(s) around or behind the light whatsoever. There was a faint noise that seemed unusual for the area, so, being a warm night, I slowed the car and rolled my windows down to see if the noise became any clearer. As I got closer to the light, the noise became louder. It was very much like an outboard motor that had been raised out of the water and was running in the open air, but louder and more metallic; definitely not a helicopter. The noise was very steady and even.
As the road passes the high school, it veers to the left quite abruptly, and I lost sight of the light as I made the turn; looking in my rearview mirror, I couldn't see the light anymore, which I thought was odd. The road to my house is on the right about 100 yards after the bend by the high school, and, as I approached my turn, the light was suddenly in front of me, again at about 1:00. I could still hear the noise and, as I turned right off Nauset Road, the light was still in view, now at about 11:00 and approximately 100 yards in front of me. It seemed to be closer to the tree line as well.
As I drove down my road (narrow and unpaved so drivers have to go slow by default), the light appeared to move as well, getting progressively closer to me. The noise also increased, and I hurried to call my father, who was in the house, to tell him to go outside and see what he thought. I turned right into my driveway, the light now the closest it's been so far (about 100' from my house and about 15' over the trees), parked, and bolted out of the car and onto the deck, which gave the best view of the front yard/road. My father met me outside and as soon as we turned to watch, the light, which had now reached the end of the driveway, suddenly took off. I can only describe it as having "streaked" away, passing over our heads and moving across the yard back toward the direction of the high school/Nauset Road. As soon as it did so, the noise, which had become quite loud, also ceased completely. A friend in the Coast Guard reported that, as far as he knew, there were no searches or aviation training that night. While I can't say for sure that this was anything out of the ordinary, I can't come up with a logical explanation either. I've researched some light-in-the-sky phenomenon, and I haven't come across anything.(Source http://www.ufoinfo.com)

Deep in the woods, in Eastham Ma, we spotted a round softball size red light hovering in the trees, roughly 30 seconds later a 2nd red light, same size and height and roughly 30 seconds later yet a third red light. We stared at them for a total of roughly two minutes and suddenly all three lights just vanished at the same time. The lights were at mid tree level ( 20 feet hight. We both did not hear a sound. All the lights appeared on the same horizontal plane. It was the strangest thing I have ever seen. (Source http://www.ufoinfo.com)
